After more than 15 years in business, I’ve developed some pretty solid methods of getting everything done efficiently, quickly and in the most pleasant manner possible.
I really like to make my customers happy. Here’s a brief synopsis of my process of creating a great design:
I begin every job by meeting with the client, either in person or by phone, and discussing the details of the project. I then draw up a contract describing the details of the job and how much it’s going to cost.
Raven’s Eye Design charges a flat rate for most projects, and the price varies widely depending on the project. I always figure out how much each job is going to cost before we begin. We each sign the contract, and we each keep a copy.
The contract outlines the details of what’s being done, when it’ll be done and how much it will cost. This way, there are never any unpleasant surprises upon completion of a job.
Once I begin work on a job, the client is usually amazed at how quickly I complete each stage of the work, and at how high the quality of my work is consistently.
I provide a first draft of the design, where the client can either view a working version of the website in progress or download a printable proof of a design or layout. Sometimes we meet in person for proofing.
Then, usually I head back to the drawing board to rework the design incorporating the client’s feedback. I like to offer expert guidance to our clients, but also am careful to always listen to what each client wants and needs, and the final product is a balanced result of this dialogue.
