Your website is a crucial part of your business. It forms a lot of folks’ first impression, brings in customers and generates revenue. The reputation and success of your business depends on it. It needs to be live, functioning and available 24/7. Your serenity depends on it.

No software is invulnerable

All software needs to be updated regularly. This includes the software that powers your website.

One reason is security. Websites are getting hacked and attacked every day, belonging to businesses large and small. Unfortunately, it’s the nature of today’s world that websites are an easy target, and a website with outdated software is an open door to an attacker.

Another reason is improved features and fixed bugs. No software is ever perfect. Ongoing updates gradually patch holes and fix problems in software as they’re discovered.

Doing your own updates

It can be time consuming and tedious — not to mention technically demanding — to keep your website up to date, backed up and secure all the time. It takes your attention away from running your business. Technology continues to evolve at an ever-increasing pace, and keeping up with all the trends and changes requires a specialist.

Generic maintenance services

The company that hosts your website, or some other discount service, might offer to keep your website backed up and up to date. They often help manage thousands of websites, and they often have the necessary experience. But they might not pay close enough attention to the specific nuances of your website or the needs of your particular business.

I offer Website Care Plans exclusively to my clients, whose website I’ve built from scratch. If you’re my client, that means I know your website inside and out. I know every line of code, every process that makes it work under the hood, and every design detail. Nobody is as well qualified to ensure that your website continues to look and work its best on into the future. I’m in the best position to make sure your website stays up and running, and I can do that via one of my Website Care Plans.

I’ll deal with all the nuts and bolts of keeping your website up to date, backed up and secure, so you can focus on what you do best: running your business.

This service is designed to give you peace of mind in the knowledge that you have a skilled partner in managing your online strategy.

Notes

All sessions are conducted by telephone or Zoom. I can also provide support via screen-sharing if needed.

Scheduled content management sessions typically last 10-15 minutes each and cover things like how to edit posts, add images, and so forth.

Additional features and functionality for the scheduled development sessions need to be discussed and agreed upon before I approve. These sessions, for example, generally cover things like adding a new section for testimonials or team profiles to your website. They do not cover advanced features such as adding a complete e-commerce or membership system.

There is no contract for any of these plans and you are free to cancel any time. These plans are offered on a subscription basis and do need to be paid monthly in advance. Unused sessions do not roll over each month.

No refunds will be given for any reason.
