The Challenge

HUB Ice Cream Factory was created across the street from the popular HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery in downtown Tucson after the restaurant became famous for its handmade ice cream. The new ice cream shop specializes in ice cream and desserts and needed a new website to promote itself and inform visitors of the current hours, menu and available rotating flavors.

The Solution

I consulted closely with the graphic designer creating the new business’s branding to create a custom website. The new WordPress that shows off the whimsical ice cream shop and provides a high-end online presence to match the shop’s look and feel. It includes custom tools to make it simple for shop staff to keep the information up to date.

The Result

The HUB Ice Cream Factory website shows the hours the shop is open and its location at a glance. It also displays the current list of rotating ice cream flavors and the current menu. I built custom controls to enable shop staff to easily edit the flavor list and menu.

The site also includes fun, non-intrusive animations and photos of delicious desserts. A news feed enables the shop to keep customers up to date.

Everything works well on mobile devices as well as computers, so people walking around downtown can check out the latest flavors on their phones before they arrive.
