The Challenge
Leslie Heros had a website that was difficult to edit and was part of a very old, defunct codebase — built by a long-gone company. A new design was needed to showcase the stunning luxury homes she sells, and a new content management system was needed to make it easy to edit the site’s content. Also needed was better integration with the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) real estate database.
Some of her clients selling multi-million-dollar homes also wanted individual websites to promote their properties, so a system to make it easy to spin up fast, high-quality, temporary websites also was needed.
The Solution
I worked with Leslie to build a custom WordPress multi-site installation with her site as the primary one and the ability to spin up additional sites for her clients quickly and easily as needed. I set up a fully-featured MLS integration which turned her website into a useful tool for anyone buying a home in the area.
The Result
The Leslie Heros Realty website features a custom design from scratch with an integrated image slider that showcases properties she’s sold with full-width photos at the top of the home page. A custom-built testimonials system displays her clients’ praise on the home page and on a screen full of testimonials, and it’s easy to add new testimonials as they come in.
Visitors can search the entire Tucson area MLS for homes using a beautiful, custom-designed interface with built-in maps and all the details for each property available right on the website. Leslie’s own listings appear as featured homes on the home page. The site also displays her sold listings and includes useful features like a mortgage calculator, home value calculator and lead tracking, all integrated with her MLS account. Other pages contain information useful to people buying and selling homes.
Premium clients selling multi-million-dollar homes can get individual websites just for their properties quickly and easily, and these sites have a design that complements Leslie’s main website and links back to it. Here are examples of these individual sites:
