The Challenge

Sukie Keita had a WordPress website that was more than 15 years old and needed an update to reflect her transition from university educator to self-employed activist educator. A fresh, modern design with clear organization was needed, along with the ability to showcase large, beautiful images throughout the site.

The Solution

I worked with Sukie to create a new website from scratch, using a customized installation of WordPress with a custom design. I optimized the design to showcase her photography, videos and writing, and trained her in managing all the content.

The Result

The Sukie Keita dance website features full-width hero images that morph to work on all screen sizes, from small mobile phones to widescreen desktop monitors. Image galleries, embedded videos and excellent typography make it visually interesting while visitors learn about the various events and services Sukie offers. A clear curriculum vitae is available for download and as content directly on the site, and a fully-featured blog and contact form round out the feature set.

I was initially drawn to Chad’s aesthetic sensibility, but I quickly learned how much of a pleasure he is to work with. Given his combination of creativity, experience, and talent, Chad can troubleshoot any problem. My new website has brought distant job prospects within my reach. I am currently deciding between two excellent offers, thanks to Chad’s beautiful work!
